Marketing & Communications Coordinator

Location: 3128 Sidney Brooks, San Antonio, TX 78235

Status: Part-Time (20-25 hours), Non-Exempt

Reports to: President & CEO

About the Role

The Marketing & Communications Coordinator will play a key role in strengthening SoTX’s visibility and brand. This position manages communications and digital platforms, develops marketing content, and supports events that bring our business community together.

Core responsibilities include:

  • Designing and producing marketing materials (flyers, programs, email campaigns, branded giveaways, presentations)

  • Leading the weekly e-newsletter and maintaining the SoTX website

  • Coordinating social media strategy and daily posts across platforms

  • Drafting press releases and media advisories

  • Supporting marketing efforts for programs and signature events

  • Assisting with podcast scheduling, event logistics, and partner outreach

What We’re Looking For

  • 3–4+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or related support roles

  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills

  • Proficiency with Canva, Constant Contact, Microsoft Office, and social scheduling tools (Later.com/Hootsuite)

  • Experience managing websites (WordPress or similar) and creating newsletters

  • Strong organizational and multitasking ability

  • High level of professionalism and attention to detail

Preferred Skills: public/media relations, journalism, CRM familiarity (ChamberMaster, Salesforce), and design/photography experience.

Working Conditions

  • Office located at 3128 Sidney Brooks, with occasional local travel

  • Some evening/weekend event support required

  • Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
