The South Texas Business Partnership, formerly the South San Antonio Chamber, rebranded in 2022 and realigned its focus to take a proactive approach with the South Texas Triangle region and South San Antonio. SoTX was built to be a catalyst for bringing our area’s business leaders together. We add value through effective opportunities for collaboration and advocacy supporting the success of our partners and the South Texas Region.

SoTX Top 3 Goals
1) To ensure South Texas employers have access to a qualified workforce; 2) To serve as advocates for infrastructure investment that supports economic development in South Texas; 3) To support programs, policies, and development that attract and retain residents and businesses across South San Antonio and South Texas. The future planning and growth of South San Antonio and South Texas Region cannot happen in a silo, it must be done in collaboration and cooperation. SoTX has a seat at a very formidable table of like-minded, forward-thinking members.

1. Community, Advocacy and Civic Engagement

SoTX Programs can have your team members serve on boards; and/or committees ● Help create programs aimed at improving outreach, increased partner awareness and/or visibility of your company and SoTX mission and vision. ● Maintain and grow advocacy for infrastructure development in key areas that will enable economic development: housing, transportation, digital equity ● Become a lead partner in building a coalition of South San Antonio and South Texas development anchors to amplify shared priorities and leverage collective impact to effect change

Education programs that promote improve workforce skills; or encourage individual development through scholarships, mentoring, and internships; and/or ● Professional Memberships contribute to the development of our workforce; ● SoTX supports and/or partners to develop opportunities for improving career readiness, such as job shadowing, internships, back to school events, or career days.
