Sophia Erian is an accomplished government affairs professional with extensive experience in public policy, strategic advocacy, and stakeholder engagement. Currently serving as the Government Affairs Manager at Port San Antonio, she plays a pivotal role in advancing the organizations mission through direct collaboration with local, state, and federal governmental entities. Her expertise includes managing legislative initiatives and implementing strategic policy initiatives. She also oversees lobbying efforts across multiple levels of government, tracking critical legislative developments and fostering relationships with key community influencers.

Prior to her role at Port San Antonio, Sophia served as a Communications Director in two City Council offices, where she led strategic communications, media relations, and constituent engagement. She has also held leadership roles in the South San Antonio Chamber of Commerce (the former South Texas Business Partnership), where she developed a new creative branding strategy, managed membership and directed community outreach initiatives. Additionally, she founded Ideas by Sophia, L.L.C., an entrepreneurial venture through which she developed multiple business concepts, gaining hands-on experience in technology, branding, and product development.

Sophia holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas at Austin and has earned a Project Management Certification from the same institution. She is also a graduate of the FBI Citizens Academy in San Antonio and currently serves on the Board of Directors as Membership Director.
