Christopher Mendoza is a transformational healthcare executive with over a decade of experience driving operational efficiency and growth within renowned healthcare organizations. As Chief Executive Officer at Community Health Systems, he oversees operations of a 140-licensed bed for-profit facility and a 22-physician group, developing and executing strategic initiatives to expand access to primary and specialized care across North Central Oklahoma and South Central Kansas. Under his leadership, the organization has added new service lines including Neurosurgery, Urology, and ENT, increasing overall surgical volume by 16%.
Christopher is recognized for his ability to build, train, and lead high-performance teams while implementing strategies that promote growth, improve patient care, and increase market share. His career includes key leadership roles such as Assistant CEO at AllianceHealth Midwest and Project CEO for multiple facilities, where he successfully managed multi-million-dollar expansion programs and operational improvements.
He began his healthcare administration career at IASIS Healthcare, rising from Administrative Resident to Associate Administrator, overseeing over 15 physician clinics and multiple outpatient centers. During this time, he implemented cost-saving measures, improved operational efficiency, and supported strategic planning initiatives across various service lines.
Christopher holds a Master of Science in Health Care Administration/Management from Trinity University and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from St. Mary’s University. Known for his visionary leadership and commitment to community health, he continues to advance healthcare access and quality for the communities he serves.
