As a valued member of our organization, you have the opportunity to enhance your engagement and leadership by joining one or more of our chamber committees. These committees are essential to driving our initiatives and shaping the direction of our programs and services. Participation allows you to contribute directly to our mission, collaborate with fellow professionals, and take an active role in the advancement of our community. To get involved, please register through our events calendar on the website, where you can sign up to be added to the recurring monthly meeting invites. This member benefit provides a direct path to influence and lead within our organization.

 

Partnership & Community Engagement (Every Second Tuesday)

Provides an opportunity for motivated, enthusiastic, and articulate businesspeople to represent SoTx at functions and events. Ambassadors are an exclusive group of volunteers who work for SoTX organization and member partners, believe in the SoTX mission, support their community, and provide assistance for many of the SoTX activities and events. Identify new areas for tourism spots (SA, Floresville, Pleasanton), Building Relationships with local organizations, and Increase Collaborations with other committees. This group meets on the second Tuesday of the month. As part of your membership, register to join this committee

External Affairs & Economic Development (Every First Tuesday)

Facilitates connections and knowledge-sharing with organizations sharing an interest in land use issues, fostering the exchange of ideas and responsible development practices on the Southside. Offers valuable insights to organizations regarding industry challenges, enabling SoTx to formulate appropriate responses. Actively involves partners in local, state, and federal land use planning opportunities as they arise.

Workforce, Education, and Healthcare Committee (Every Second Wednesday)

A collaborative committee centered on the workforce ecosystem, specifically emphasizing education and healthcare. It offers valuable insights and data regarding healthcare conditions in the market, actively addressing relevant issues impacting the healthcare community. The committee strives to enhance the future quality of our workforce by organizing high-quality educational programs through local partnerships. Additionally, it provides insights and data on market conditions, addressing pertinent issues across all industries, with a particular emphasis on healthcare. The committee is dedicated to promoting year-round awareness of healthy lifestyles, options, and opportunities.

Leading South Committee (Every Third Tuesday)

The Leading South Committee is comprised of active members, potential participants, and alumni from Lead South. Their focus is on emphasizing Civic and Community Leadership while also overseeing the editing and management of Board of Directors applications. They actively engage with Lead South through nominations and play a pivotal role in planning and coordinating Lead South events, including the retreat, monthly sessions, and graduation.
