These committees are essential to driving our initiatives and shaping the direction of our programs and services. Participation allows you to contribute directly to our mission, collaborate with fellow professionals, and take an active role in the advancement of our community. External Affairs & Economic Development (Every First Tuesday)

This committee focuses on government and economic issues impacting South San Antonio and the South Texas region. Members examine policy matters at the local, state, and federal levels, explore land use and economic development opportunities, and develop position statements for the Executive Committee and Board of Directors. The Committee also builds relationships with elected officials and advocates for SOTX initiatives.

Partnership & Community Engagement (Every Second Tuesday) In – Person – SoTX Office

This committee brings together enthusiastic members who represent SoTX at events, support community partnerships, and help identify new tourism and business opportunities across the region. Members work closely with local organizations and collaborate with other committees to strengthen outreach and engagement efforts.

Workforce, Education, and Healthcare Committee (Every Second Wednesday) Virtual Only

A collaborative committee dedicated to improving the regional workforce pipeline, with a strong emphasis on education and healthcare. Members exchange data and insights on healthcare and market conditions, address relevant industry challenges, and support programs that promote long-term workforce quality and healthy living initiatives.

LEAD South Committee (Every Third Tuesday) Virtual Only

The LEAD South Committee supports civic and community leadership within SoTX and the Region. Composed of active SOTX partners and LEAD South alumni, the committee focuses on alumni engagement, participant recruitment, and membership growth in collaboration with staff. Operating under this committee, the LEAD South Program Steering Committee plans and executes the LEAD South professional development program, including the annual retreat, monthly sessions, and graduation.
