Director of Public Affairs & Regional Development
Miguel Segura is the Director of Public Affairs & Regional Development for the Alamo Area Council of Governments (AACOG). He oversees the agency’s communications, intergovernmental and public affairs, the regional Economic Development District, and the Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation programs. His primary efforts focus on connecting AACOG’s 70 member governments to available resources, including community and economic development planning, state and federal funding opportunities, air quality monitoring, and multijurisdictional collaboration.
Prior to joining AACOG, Miguel served as the Regional Director of Public Relations for the Better Business Bureau (BBB) in San Antonio and Laredo, and Chaired the BBB Hispanic Outreach Initiative for North America.
Miguel is a native of McAllen, Texas. He has been a resident of San Antonio, TX since his studies at St. Mary’s University, where he received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing.
