About Us
History
Founded in 1982, the South Texas Business Partnership (SoTx), formerly known as the South San Antonio Chamber of Commerce has been the catalyst for bringing our area’s business leaders together as advocates for change and further development of our area.
Our organization was originally initiated by small businesses and community leaders to address ongoing concerns with water availability and wastewater issues but has since expanded its mission to include public education reform, workforce development, land use & infrastructure.
In 2020, our organization merged with the West San Antonio Chamber of Commerce. The West SA Chamber was established in 1994 by Col. Jimmy Casiano and a group of well-intentioned Westside business owners and stakeholders all in an effort to provide the Western Sector business community with a voice to help promote growth and commerce. Together we are committed to providing strong support to all our members as we prepare for a long-awaited period of rapid and sustainable economic growth in South Texas.
SoTx HQ is officed at Brooks, San Antonio, TX.
